Some of the industrial partners within GenoMik-Transfer are members of the Industrial Association White Biotechnology (IWBio), an industry initiative to promote white Biotechnology. All member companies share the same vision - to promote industrial use of biotechnology beyond company boundaries in co-operations. The synergies between partner companies are harnessed to use the collected experiences from science and business in pre-competition research projects.
To date membership comprises 21 companies from the chemical, agricultural, food and consumer industries representing cooperative application-oriented research vis-a-vis politics and funding institutions. Member companies profit from the synergetic potential in the pre-competition research phase of a large number of joint research projects.
